Work obligations had my wife coming to Manhattan for the day on Friday, so instead of her going up for the day, we decided to drive up Thursday and make a quick weekend out of it.
It rained a lot. On Thursday we drove up 95 in what was essentially a tropical storm, for all the visibility there was on the highway. What should have been a five hour drive took more like seven. The rain broke, magically somehow, for about 20 minutes when we arrived so we could unload the car.
Dinners were had, shows were seen, romped around a bit at farmer’s markets and Central Park. Saturday was an absolutely beautiful day in the city.
It went something like this…

You can get a grass-fed beef hamburger from a food stand in Central Park. Love it.

Love her, too.
